Here’s the beginning of my work on the heroine’s bedroom. Hopefully it’s not too spoilerific, because I know some of you get into seeing a character’s bedroom since it usually gives a little more insight into character. However this is really bare bones right now and the plants and bed linens will have to be drawn in after the fact. Well anyway hopefully you enjoyed another preview.

I finally finished the pastels/pencil shelf for the store. Since this is the most important aisle for the comic (sketcbooks/paper/dry media aisle) I wanted to give the BG a little extra detail. Of course I left all of the placards and such blank so I could add text and draw in small details. Now I just have to finish a few more shelves with nondescript stuff for the store and my art supply backgrounds will be ready to go for chapter 1.
Here’s a look at the outside of the art supply for you too. I actually started with a pre-made base I found in the 3D wharehouse by Aurora B. for this and I’ve been slowly modifying it to fit my needs. If you can find a base model that fits most of your needs it’s almost always better to start with something mostly built and then modify it rather than starting from scratch as it saves time.
Well, that’s it for now!
I thought I would share my progress on making backgrounds in Sketch-up with you. So here it is, one small part of a larger store. Took me most of the afternoon to do this, so uh yeah, there will be a steady trail of tears issuing from my room when I have to turn around and do the opposite shelf with all of the pastels, colored pencils and so on…I start to feel like I’m going to pass out just thinking about it….phooo.
Well, back to work!
As you can clearly see, I’ve begun working on a new webcomic! I still have a lot of work left to do yet before I can fully launch this site, so think of this as a little preview for all of my faithful followers. I think it would be reasonable to expect things to get going sometime this fall, probably erring on the side of late fall. I still need to polish up some writing and create my starting backgrounds in Sketch-up before I can even think of drawing the first page, but as I start pulling my resources together I will have a better idea of an actual launch date.
This series will be longer than Wolves and Men, which I know will please everyone, but it has me positively frightened! You’ll also have to please keep in mind I am still working on Chosen for Filthy Figments which will cut into my work time for this comic. That being said, aside from launch week updates, this comic will probably only update with one page a week since priority has to be given for paying projects.
Finally, as I finish work on the website, please let me know what sort of navigation features you’d like to see in the sidebars. I want this site to be as nav friendly as possible and your input can help me greatly there!
