With Xmas money from relatives this year, I decided to order a new Dal Frara! She should arrive before Xmas so she can be wrapped and put under the tree. Actually to be honest the Xmas money comes from my grandmother, and since she just recently passed away, this will be my last gift from my grandmother. I think she would have liked my choice. I only wish she had lived long enough to see my dollhouse finished. Anyway…starting to get weepy….time to go be productive to get my mind off of it.
Aw, that’s lovely that you are able to get a doll to remember your grandma by. I did the same thing with money _my_ grandma left me – actually, the reason I was able to start collecting dolls to begin with was the small chunk of money she left me. My “grandma doll” is Greggia; there’s just something so fitting about that doll and grandma’s memory.
Aww, that’s really sweet, and it’s nice to know that other people have remembrance dollies too! To be honest I don’t think any doll could be more fitting, except perhaps if they came out with a Snoopy themed doll, my grandma loved Snoopy, she even had a dog named Snoopy. XD
A Snoopy Dal would actually be adorable!
