Alright, so here’s the final version of the unfinished dress I posted previously. There are things I like about it, and also things I don’t like, but I think this will be the final version that I will try to sell. Anyway I’m going to make a one-off of this using a fabric with a little flower pattern and maybe give it a ribbon waistband and whatnot. Anything I make for selling, I will be sure to post here as well.
AE Yara – Wig Woes
The wig I ordered off of a very nice seller on DoA arrived today. It’s a really nice wig, BUT…..It doesn’t fit my AE Yara!!! D: This is the second 7/8 wig that I’ve tried that does not work with my mini AE Yara. The first one I figured the problem was that it was old and cheap, but this new wig is a very nice Volks wig. I measured both of my wigs and they both measure exactly 7 inches. The mini Yara head measures just a scootch over 7 inches, so in theory these wigs should work, but they do not.
I posted about my woes in the AE mini thread on DoA, and it was suggested that I find wigs made for Unoa. So now, in my last ditch effort to have a decent wig (cause I’m out of money), I ordered a 6/7 Jpop dolls wig that was advertised as fitting Unoa/Narae so I am keeping my fingers crossed that when this wig comes in that it will work. According to the advert this wig also stretches to 7.5 inches, so I think I should be safe……*fingers crossed*
In other news my Dolly Dolly Volume 16 shipped yesterday, but shipping was a bitch. XP Still though, I’m looking forward to my new book.
New Clothing Project – MSD Dress
This is my latest clothing project for skinny MSD sized girls (Should fit Unoa & Narae too). So far I’m pretty pleased with my progress, and I think I should be able to offer these for sale eventually. I realized too late on the prototype though that I needed a bust dart, but any incarnations after this will have the bust dart. I may take out the long darts at the waist though because the dress lost some charm when I did that IMO. I kind of liked it’s “sacky-ness” for lack of better term, lol. XD I also need to take better care with the evenness of my skirt ruffles. Anyway I still need to finish the back snaps, hem the skirt and add trim, then I’ll post up the finished images.
Good Dolly Find – Barrettes
Excuse the bad photography, but today when I was in Target I found a nice set of 8 mini barrettes the perfect size for MSD and SD dolls as well as Pullip. 😀 You get an assortment of colors all for only $1.79 per pack, so they are a very affordable accessory. I found these over in the health and beauty section by the brushes and headbands and such. I don’t imagine you could find anything smaller in the baby section, as you can see from the pic, that these are pretty tiny.

New Project – MSD Pleated Skirt
I’ve been working on a pleated skirt for my new girl, and I must confess that it’s being a pain in the butt. A regular pleated skirt probably would have been more straightforward, but nooOOOooo I have to make things difficult and incorporate a long flat waist. In any case I don’t feel like I’ve really mastered this pattern yet, so I probably won’t be making any of these to sell, but I’ve got some ideas for ruffled skirts that I think will be cute and fun.
