I was more than shocked today to find that my Sona arrived! Her tracking number still didn’t seem to be working on the EMS site, so I thought for sure that her progress must have been slow and I truly wasn’t expecting her until next week. As it is she must have been on an airplane that landed in Chicago for her to get to me so soon. Anyway I was totally excited and I am more than pleased with her. These are the freebie items I got from Dollmore. A sticker business card thing, a sweet postcard of Dollmore’s Mio, a Dollmore button, bath soap flowers, dolly hairclips and a curly blonde wig. I didn’t remove the wig from it’s hair net, but it looks to be around MSD size and it’s made of nice soft fibers. I don’t know if I will keep it yet or not or try to sell it to get some proceeds for new MSD shoes.
So after looking over the freebies, I decided to pull the doll box out. 🙂 Dollmore packs their dolls in golden boxes that has little golden sticker seals at both ends. It’s also a nice double cardboard box as well, so it’s super sturdy.
Anyway I carefully removed the seals to keep everything intact, because I’m crazy like that, and inside was a bubblewrapped mummy, lol. XD
I removed the plastic from her head first and I found myself surprised that she came with her wig on, and I even got eyelashes with my face-up. The wig was also the wig I requested which is a really super soft black mohair. I think it might be synthetic mohair, but the fibers are very fine and soft. It’s going to take some effort to style, but I think well styled mohair can look worlds better than synthetic wigs. Anyway I digress and on with the de-boxing!
And after much removal of bubble packing, Sona is finally out in the open, lol. I was really happy to see that she came with some super cute default pink underwear. Sure beats getting a totally naked doll. I wonder though if perhaps that was something extra too, because they don’t list default undies as part of the deal on their site. So in the end I am fantastically happy over my purchase, Sona is as gorgeous in person as she is on the site, and for what I paid, I consider Dollmore dolls to be a very good value! I could completely foresee buying from Dollmore again, especially with all of the lovely sculpts they have. Maybe next a Banji doll! XD
